Born a man,
you are raised to think you must be strong.
From the mouth of your clan?
Surely they can’t be wrong!

And if you’re not, then harsh treatment and insensitivity shall be your cure.
To treat that rot, and cast away what’s impure.

I was always sensitive, too sensitive for my own good.
Was it nature? nurture? that made me this way?
I always did what I could, as I should, but I brood where once I stood.
A suppliant soul fearful of becoming them vultures of negativity’s food.
