I’m 27
I’m 27,
And I like my time alone.
Troubles are like bullets,
I take position, I’ve gone prone.
I’m 27,
And I want my potential fulfilled.
I’m tired of people,
Clean them off me, like water distilled.
I’m 27,
And I wish I could love.
Trains whistle past,
Scaring away the symbolic peaceful dove.
I’m 27,
And I am no where rushing.
Yet, as if I ran a marathon,
My face is flushing.
I’m 27,
And I am very young.
But My knees will buckle,
I will bite off my tongue.
27, 28 ,29, I age and I age
Partaking in history I‘m just another page.
So let me take center stage,
and get the audience worked up and enraged.
I will put on a good show for y’all, I always had you engaged.
